On Tuesday, thousands of users claimed they were having trouble accessing Facebook.
As of 2:30 p.m. Pacific time, there had been more than 11,000 reports of problems with the social network, according to the unofficial monitoring site Downdetector.
More than 60 percent of complaints are related to the Facebook website, with 16 percent recording login issues.
Downdetector commenters reported experiencing problems while using Facebook in areas ranging from Marion County, Florida to Bangladesh and Greece.

“I’ve seen a lot over the years, but I don’t think I’ve seen Facebook drop this much on the user side in years,” says writer Brandon Wenard. I wrote X shared a screenshot of Facebook showing a warning message that says “Your account is temporarily unavailable.”

By Tuesday evening, reporting of issues with Downdetector had returned to near baseline levels.
