Kirby Air Riders 1.3.0 update released, patch notes

Kirby Air Rider players now have access to the latest update to the game, version 1.3.0.

This is a pretty big patch with some new features, including quick matches and the ability to play online with two players on the same system in the paddock. There are also a ton of other balance changes. Numerous bug fixes were also implemented.

  • You can now scan amiibo in the paddock and race with figure players (FP).
    • You can scan from the amiibo terminal in the paddock.
  • You can now try courses solo in online matches during matchmaking.
    • In City Trial, you can ride Skya around if you match with at least one person.
    • In Air Ride and Top Ride, if you enter the test course screen and try to exit in the middle of matching, a penalty will occur.
  • You can now seek to the playback position when playing a video from Spectate’s Movie Replay in the Connect menu.
  • Replay video is now played on monitors in the paddock.
    • Replay videos uploaded by players will be played randomly.
  • You can now choose local play from online matches in each mode, even when you are not connected to the internet.
  • Featured players can now be set to automatic even when replay playback settings are set to full.
  • When displaying the pause menu during free run or time attack, the version number is now displayed at the bottom right of the screen.
  • Reaching the ending of Road Trip will unlock the “Everything Reset” memory even if you haven’t unlocked it yet.
    • This memory will also be released in save data that has already reached its ending.

Bug fixes

  • Improved communication stability when playing online.

  • Fixed an issue where, after purchasing a machine in the Machine Market, if you performed a certain operation, the purchased machine would disappear unintentionally, making it impossible to purchase it again.
    • We have made a correction so that purchased aircraft will be displayed even in save data where this phenomenon occurred.
  • Fixed an issue in City Trial’s “Dust Up Derby 2 Stadium” event where if you were pushed up against a wall while being defeated by a rival and revived, you could fall through the wall.
  • Made several other gameplay fixes.

The following issues have been identified and are not included in the fixes in this update.

  • If the number of gummies is between 8,285 and 8,626, an error will occur when opening the gummy screen in the collection menu. (This will not occur if the number of gummies is 8,284 or less, or if the number of gummies is 8,627 or more.)
  • If you clear the last task on the checklist with an open block and the completion mark is displayed, if you move to another screen using a certain procedure, the completion mark may disappear and you may not receive the completion reward.
