Singapore Airlines wins Natural Escape Award for special project promotion category. This must be selected at the time of booking (if it does not appear, it means there are no rooms left, but this does not prevent it from appearing again later, so please check often).
Prior to COVID-19, Spontaneous Escapes was part of the Saver Awards. This caused a problem. I wanted it It’s not really possible to book a regular Saber benefit (as it comes with a cancellation option, unlike a natural escape benefit).
Spontaneous Escapes is now a separate category, so you are free to choose to pay the regular saver price if you wish (which gives you even more flexibility).
To learn more about the differences between the four benefit types, see the article below.
KrisFlyer Promotions, Saver, Advantage and Access Benefits: What’s the Difference?
The Spontaneous Escapes award is Strictly non-cancellable and non-modifiable. No concessions will be made to travelers who are unable to fly due to illness, so it is your responsibility to purchase travel insurance. Covers mile and point bookings.
What if I have an existing award?
If you already hold a confirmed award for a flight that is currently subject to voluntary evacuation, you must:
- Book a nature escape fee
- Cancel your existing reservation and pay the redeposit fee ($75 for Saver, $50 for Advantage/Access)
I highly recommend doing it in this order, in case you run out of space for the Spontaneous Escapes prize halfway through. Of course, that means you need to have plenty of miles on hand.
