When the 60 cars competing in this year’s Rolex 24 at Daytona take to the track tomorrow afternoon, they will line up behind the Porsche 911, the race’s official safety car. As if the 911 wasn’t special enough, Porsche is going with the 911 GT3. And as if that wasn’t extreme enough, Porsche went with the 911 GT3 RS. However, this is Daytona (!), the pinnacle of Western Hemisphere endurance racing, so even such a machine would be impossible. Therefore, the car that will run on the pack tomorrow will be mantai kit.

Porsche has partnered with German tuner Manthey for many years to develop track-ready performance kits for the 911. New for 2026 is a kit for the current 992.2 generation GT3, aimed at owners who regularly drive these machines on the track. Manthey is also a regular in endurance races, and will drive two GT3s in big races.

The kit adds a different front splitter, larger rear wing, larger diffuser, drag-reducing rear wheels, aerodynamic adjustments to the undercarriage, upgraded suspension, and improved brakes. All of this works together to generate up to 2,200 pounds of downforce at 177 miles per hour.
For the hard-working types who want to turn their GT3 RS into a safety car clone, the kit is available at 77 Manti-authorized Porsche centers nationwide. In addition to the latest upgrades, Manthey also manufactures performance kits for the “regular” GT3 and 992.1 generation GT3. 718 Cayman GT4 RS.
