Fayetteville – The 17th-ranked Arkansas Razorbacks return home on Wednesday (January 14) to take on the South Carolina Gamecocks. Tip-off is set for 8 p.m. CT, and the game will be televised on the SEC Network.

Razorbacks Nick Pringle and Carter Knox are familiar with the Gamecocks.

Pringle played in South Carolina for the Gamecocks last season, averaging 9.5 points and 6.3 rebounds. In fact, one of his best games of the season was last season’s big win over Arkansas, where he recorded 18 points (7-of-11 FG, 4-of-5 FT), nine rebounds, and two steals.

Knox’s older brother Kobe is in his first season at the University of South Carolina. Kobe started his career at Grand Canyon and played his final two seasons at South Florida. Kobe has started all 16 games for South Carolina this season, averaging 9.0 points.

Note:

  • Arkansas holds a 24-18 advantage in the series, winning nine of the final 15 games in the series, including a 12-6 lead in the game played in Fayetteville.
  • Arkansas defeated South Carolina 72-68 in last year’s SEC Tournament, ending a three-game losing streak against the Gamecocks. But earlier this year, specifically 11 days earlier, South Carolina defeated the Razorbacks 72-53 in Columbia.
  • Arkansas continues to rank among the NCAA leaders in fast break points (3rd at 20.4 ppg) and 3-point percentage (12th at 39.2%, tops in the SEC).
  • Malik Uwin loves the second Saturday in January, especially road games on the second Saturday in January. Ewin, who attended Florida State University last year, recorded a double-double at Clemson University on Saturday, January 9th. As a Razorback this year, Yuwin recorded a double-double on Saturday, Jan. 10 at Auburn.
