For someone like me who’s heavily on Copium, it could be a cheeky informal tease of what’s to come.
The last icon in the upper right part of the map is Mr. House’s Penthouse Located atop New Vegas’ iconic tower. Unless I’ve overlooked something, I won’t find any easter eggs related to the potential remaster. However, as I type this, I have no doubt that the most dedicated fans are grappling with this issue.
Rather, it’s a cool interactive addition for fans of both the show and the 2010 RPG. 3D models of famous locations from the show (packed with some upgrades and new secrets). Those familiar with the game will immediately notice that this 3D rendering feels glossier and more detailed (and not at all live-action). For obvious reasons, I’m not going to go so far as to say that this is part of the rumored remaster (remake?) in the works, but it might give us a solid idea of what a revised New Vegas will look like.
Either way, it’s fun to see marketing for big shows going back to the early internet days. There, new movies and TV series were constantly being promoted with neat interactive sites (and even flash games) in addition to more traditional promotional materials.
