Tsyplakov replaced Shabanov, a forward who had missed three consecutive games in 14 of the past 18 games, in the Islanders’ lineup. …The Canucks on Sunday called up Nils Pettersson from Abbotsford of the American Hockey League and sent defenseman Victor Mancini to the AHL. … Patera was recalled on an emergency basis from Abbotsford, Demko is still being evaluated, and the goaltender will miss his fourth straight game. Goaltender Nikita Tropilo was sent to the AHL. … Lankinen missed Saturday’s 6-0 loss to the Edmonton Oilers due to illness and will start. … Blueger, who last played on Oct. 19, practiced in Lattie’s place Sunday, but coach Adam Foote did not expect the forward to play Monday.
