Indiana passed legislation outlining a partnership with. bearThis included identifying a potential stadium site near Wolf Lake in Hammond, Indiana, and establishing the framework for negotiations toward a final agreement. The Bears also released a statement acknowledging this as “the most meaningful step forward in our stadium planning efforts to date.”

No deal has been finalized yet, and a move to Arlington Heights is still a possibility, but with Indiana already laying the groundwork and promising a quick stadium experience, it will take a big push from Illinois to keep the Bears in-state.
As you might imagine, the news that a Bears stadium could be built in northwest Indiana has been met with a lot of reaction. While some people aren’t happy with this move, most Bears fans (and NFL fans as well) don’t like the idea of the Bears leaving Chicago (or Illinois).
