Swiss national team players to watch
Ahead of today’s semi-final between Canada and Switzerland, here are some Swiss players to watch.
Alina Müller, forward: Müller was still a teenager when he won a bronze medal at the Olympics in 2014. Currently, she is the most important player in this Swiss team. She leads the team with four points in five games, including the quarterfinal win over Finland. She plays for the Boston Fleet of the PWHL.
Lara Stalder, Forward: Team captain Stalder is also a holdover from the team that won the bronze medal in 2014. The Swiss rely on Stalder both on and off the ice.
Andrea Brendli, goalkeeper: Brendli shut out Finland in the quarterfinals. She is having a great season in the Swedish Women’s Hockey League and is one of the best goalies not playing in the PWHL.
