Opening Heaven to Teens February 18, 2026 Bible Reading: Romans 12:1-2
1 Therefore, brethren, I beseech you by the mercy of God. Present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God. That is your natural service.
2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is the good, acceptable, and perfect will of God.

It can be tough to feel pressured by your peers to conform to the world, but staying true to your beliefs is more important than fitting in.
The reason so many young people succumb to negative peer pressure is because they love to please others other than God.
I heard a young man refer to people who easily succumb to peer pressure as “bootlickers,” and I think that’s a very degrading term.
You should be pleasing to God and stand firm in how God created you.
the apostle paul asked Galatians 1:10,”For am I now trying to persuade men or God? Or am I trying to please men? Because if I am still a people pleaser, I am not a slave of Christ. ”
He said that pleasing God is greater than following the crowd.
Dear child, do not succumb to any kind of peer pressure in order to gain favor with others, to feel accepted in the world, or to look good in front of men.
I urge you to always stand up for the truth and ask God for the grace to overcome societal pressures.
In addition, you need to be sure to choose friends who share your values and help you grow spiritually.
You were not created to please man, but to please God, so focus on doing only what will make God proud while living in peace with all people.

Heaven Open to Teens February 18, 2026 Hymn 4:
Lord, restore your work
1 Lord, revive your work.
Your strong arms will be exposed.
Speak with a voice that awakens the dead,
And let your people hear.
Refrain from:
Lord, revive your work.
Here we bow to you.
Come down, O merciful Lord, come down!
Oh, come and bless us.
2 Lord, revive your work.
Come on, let us thirst for you.
And working hard in search of the sustenance of life
May all our souls be like that. [Refrain]
3 Lord, revive your work.
Praise your precious name.
And through the Holy Spirit, our love
Because you and yours will be on fire. [Refrain]
4 Lord, revive your work.
Give power to your word.
May your blessed gospel reach you.
Hear with living faith. [Refrain]
5 Lord, revive your work.
And let’s put on a refreshing show.
All the glory will be yours,
Lord, may your blessings be ours. [Refrain]
