Alex Warren turned everyday love into the hit song “Ordinary.”
Released in February 2025, the song was virtually ubiquitous in 2025 and reached number one. billboard hot 100 and is named as Billboard’s Summer Songs of 2025. This was Warren’s first No. 1 hit.
Warren debuted his first album, “You’ll Be Alright Kid,” on July 18th, which includes tracks featuring Jelly Roll and BLACKPINK singer Rosé.

The song uses spiritual imagery and metaphors to describe the experience. In an interview with hitWarren said this because he is a Christian and frequently uses Bible references in his music.

“This song is now number one everywhere and it makes me smile knowing it’s about you,” Warren wrote. “It also reminds me that even though we’ve been together this long, I’ve never seen you run at full speed.”

“That record was about my relationship with my wife Couvre. We were both 24 and we met when I was 18 and she was sleeping in the car with me. I think it’s rare these days to find true love over the phone and social media and all that stuff. So we wrote ‘Ordinary,’ which is about how love falls apart, and we found something crazy,” he said.
