Pre-orders are now open for the latest wireless Dualsense controller for PlayStation 5. This time it comes with a color scheme and decals based on Bungie’s Extraction Shooter. marathon.
According to PlayStation, the controller will be available for purchase in select markets starting March 5, 2026, but is available for pre-order now.
Pre-orders are currently available in South Africa through the following brands: KOODOO.co.zathe controller is connected to R1 899. However, only pickup is available, and there are no delivery options at this time. This makes the limited edition version several hundred rand more expensive than the base PS5 controller.

Importantly, this is not a Dualsense EDGE controller with upgraded haptic features, but functionally a base PS5 controller, with only the decal making it a special edition device.
It still has all the other chat and communication features that came with the original Dualsense, including haptic feedback and adaptive triggers for a more immersive experience, as well as a USB-C port and Bluetooth functionality.
If you pre-order the controller in South Africa, you will be able to receive it on March 5, 2026, in line with the global rollout.
Controller availability will coincide with Marathon’s worldwide release date. Despite getting off to a rocky start, Marathon, which is partially produced by PlayStation parent company Sony, has received a slightly warmer response from players recently.
Still, this game has to enter a very competitive market where there are already dominant titles in the field of extraction shooters. This includes the recently popular shooter ARC Rivals, which has to compete for mindshare with marathon players.
