original: Pokemon FireRed and Pokemon LeafGreen are now listed in the “Coming Soon” tab of the eShop. Each game will cost $19.99 and both are scheduled to be released on February 27, 2026.
The title is stated to support local wireless play, and Pokemon Home support will be added later. Please note that each language has its own list. The US eShop is available in English, Spanish, and French. The EU added Germany and Italy to the list. Only the title of the Japanese e-shop is in Japanese.

update: It has been announced that a special package version will be released for Japan. The download card includes both titles, as well as a few other perks.
It has been announced that a special package version will be released for Japan. This includes the title of your choice on the download card, Game Boy Advance box replicas of both games, and the cased glass Poke Ball set mentioned above. The collectible items are the same whether you purchase the special deluxe version of Pokemon Fire Red Edition or Pokemon Leaf Green Edition. This release is also exclusive to Japan, so the title will be in Japanese and the download code will also be redeemable on the Japanese eShop.
