Several large school districts and universities in the San Antonio area have announced plans to cancel or postpone classes due to winter weather expected across the KSAT 12 viewing area.
The Hill Country and San Antonio areas will experience cooler temperatures, stronger winds, cold rain and the potential for ice Saturday, according to the KSAT Weather Service team.

alamo college district
Classes, services, and events throughout the Alamo College District system will be closed or canceled on Monday, January 26th.
The system will “continue to monitor weather conditions” for future updates, it said.
BASIS Charter School
BASIS San Antonio Primary at Medical Center will be closed on Monday, January 26th due to “inclement weather.”
Boerne ISD
Boerne Independent School District announced that all campuses will be closed on Monday, January 26th.
The school district announced that all after-school activities on Monday will be canceled or postponed.
Cariso Springs ISD
Carrizo Springs Independent School District closed all campuses and offices, including after-school activities, on Monday, January 26th.
The district said in a statement that it will continue to monitor the situation on Tuesday, January 27th.
Comfort ISD
On Saturday afternoon, the district announced that all schools and offices will be closed on Monday, January 26th due to inclement weather.
Comfort ISD said, “Given the potential for extreme cold and dangerous icy conditions, and to ensure sustained power infrastructure efficiency throughout the region, the district made the decision to prioritize the safety of our students, staff, and community.”

Concordia Lutheran schools, childcare centers, and churches will be closed on Monday, January 26th due to winter weather.
