Richie and Gemma McCaw are selling their Christchurch home.
Former Newstalk ZB Canterbury Morning presenter Chris Lynch reported that the famous couple had put their property up for sale.

This luxury property has an en-suite master bedroom on the second floor and is located in a 1,047sqm section to the rear, complete with an in-ground pool and basketball hoop.
Award-winning interior designer Ingrid Geldof designed the kitchen with dark cabinetry that complements the white kitchen bench and includes a hidden butler’s pantry.
Mr Bailey said it was a beautiful private home and the McCaws loved living there. “They loved this place, they loved this place,” he said.

“They lived there for five years and are now based in Wanaka.”
Bailey said most of the interest so far has been from families because of the property’s location on a long tree-lined street and its large size.
“It’s over 1000 square meters of land, so it’s a big family home. It’s a family home with beautiful architecture. It’s a really cool home with lots of privacy.”
They were also adding a swimming pool.

And while there was a basketball hoop, he said there weren’t any rugby or hockey posts there yet. “But there’s probably room to throw a rugby ball or hit a hockey ball back.”
Fendleton is probably one of Christchurch’s most expensive and popular suburbs, with access to top public and private schools.
The listing comes more than a year after the McCaws announced they were leaving Christchurch for an “adventurous lifestyle” in Wanaka.
Former Black Stick member Gemma posted on social media about her move in December 2024. “It’s time to embark on a new adventure in Wanaka and say goodbye to Christchurch,” she said.
