Sri Lanka’s Matisha Pathirana had barely played his first over against Australia when he limped off with a suspected hamstring problem.

The 23-year-old lifted his body on the follow-through while delivering the opening fourth pitch and immediately fell to the ground clutching his left leg. After receiving treatment on the field, he was helped off the field.

The co-hosts are already without Wanindu Hasaranga, who was ruled out early in the tournament due to injury.
