Tasmanian Tigers squad releases One-Day Cup match against New South Wales

The Tasmanian Tigers, who won the right to host the One-Day Cup Final in March, will play their final regular season game against New South Wales at Ninja Stadium tomorrow afternoon.

The day/night match begins at 2pm, with New South Wales needing a win to earn a place in the final against Tasmania on March 11.

Tasmania will be looking to get back to winning ways after last week’s narrow loss to Western Australia, where Beau Webster (138 of 122) and Tim Ward (112 of 144) both performed well.

The squad for tomorrow’s game is similar to the squad named last week.

Billy Stanlake has returned to the team after playing in the Sheffield Shield with Perth and his pace will be essential for the Tigers.

Charlie Wakim, who scored his first half-century in both innings of the Sheffield Shield match, was included in the squad in place of Jordan Silk due to a shoulder injury.

Beau Webster will continue to wear the captain’s armband in Silk’s absence.

Riley Meredith has been placed under management following a grueling past four days with Sheffield Shield.

Nathan Ellis and Matt Kuneman are absent from this match due to the T20 World Cup, while Matt Wade is also absent due to coaching duties in the tournament.

The 13-man Tasmanian squad for the game against New South Wales is as follows:

Nikhil Chaudhary
jake dolan
bradley hope
Caleb Jewell
ruff macmillan
Ben McDermott
aidan o’connor
mitch owen
Will Preswidge
billy stanlake
charlie wakim
Tim Ward
Beau Webster (C)

Ince: Stan Lake, Wakim
