This year’s Pokémon Presents was a surprise with the announcement of a new generation of Pokémon games, Pokémon Waves and Pokémon Winds. The starter Pokémon for this new adventure have also been revealed.

On one side is Bloult, a grass-type chick. The other is Ponbon, a fire-type pup. and (my current favorite) Gecqua, a water-type gecko.

There’s still a lot to see in this new generation, and we’ll have to wait quite a while to see the evolved forms of the starter trio, but so far this game looks much better than some of the past Pokemon games. I hope this generation can live up to the expectations of our fans.
