On Sunday in the Premier League, the hastily constructed Tottenham team drew 2-2 with Manchester City, and the following is the evaluation of Spurs players from the match.
thomas frank Made 4 changes to his content spurs On Wednesday night, he helped the North London side advance to the last 16 of the Champions League with a 2-0 win over Eintracht Frankfurt. He lost Kevin Danso to a torn toe ligament and Jed Spence to a calf issue. mickey van de ven He was deemed not ready to return to play.
This leaves midfielders Archie Gray and Joao Parinha as right wing-back and centre-back respectively, while Radu Dragusin makes his first start in a year in the back three.
11 minutes into the match, Spurs lost the ball in midfield to Yves Bissouma, Erling Haaland picked up Rayan Cherki’s run, and the Frenchman continued his run and fired a low shot, which just touched Dragusin’s toe and went into the far corner.
City scored their second goal just before half-time after Dragusin hit an aimless kick straight at Rodri. The midfielder passed it to Bernardo Silva, who pushed the ball to Antoine Semenho who curled his shot past Vicario.
The hosts scored a controversial goal eight minutes into the second half. Xavi Simons put the ball into Dominic Solanke’s path with the outside of his foot, and the striker cut inside and appeared to kick into the leg of Marc Gehi, but the ball bounced over the line. A VAR check ruled out offside and a foul. As the goal was replayed on the big screen, Pep Guardiola protested by pointing at the goal, earning him a yellow card from the referee.
Solanke’s second goal was beyond doubt. He backheeled Conor Gallagher’s cross and looped the ball into the net, but Gianluigi Donnarumma could only help funnel the ball into the net.
Both teams had chances in the closing stages, but neither could convert, giving Spurs a much-needed point.
Tottenham player ratings are as follows:
Guglielmo Vicario
He fell short of Cherki’s early goal and Semenyo’s close-range shot, but even when given a goal kick, he made a great reflex save to deny the Frenchman. There was no need to save anything else. 6
Joan Parinha
He fought again in the away defense and became a true leader on the back line. 8
Cristian Romero
He only played in the first half and was chasing City players most of the time. He seemed to be struggling with what he was feeling under the Frankfurt weather. 5

Radu Dragushin
First starting appearance in a year. It looked like that in the first half as well, but he kept Cherki at arm’s length for too long to get close to goal, only to play the ball straight to Rodri, who scored City’s second goal. As it has been a long time since his last start, he has improved considerably as the game progresses, and showed some great time against Haaland in the second half. 6
archie gray
He gave his all for the cause and limped around the pitch in stoppage time. Blockbuster hits are displayed at the bottom right. 8
conor gallagher
He fought for everything, won the ball and crossed for Solanke to score Spurs’ second goal. 8
Eve Bissouma
He scored City’s goal in the first half. Had some clean moments in possession before being sent off in the second half. 5
Destiny Udogie
He had a busy performance on the left side and showed some good defense towards the end. 7
Randall Kolo Muani
It was a hard shift as the Frenchman pressed and ran against City’s defence. 6
Xavi Simmons
A game that showed Spurs’ best player and what he can do for this team. He constantly dribbled the ball and contributed to Tottenham’s opening goal with an outside foot pass to Solanke. Odbert launched an attack, and Donnarumma knocked the deflected attack down. 9
Dominic Solanke
He combined brilliantly with Xavi in the first half and then put Spurs ahead with a delightful backheel volley. Near the end of the match, he grabbed his ankle and took it off. Tottenham cannot afford to lose him again. 8
sub
Pape Matar Saal
He made a lot of important interceptions and runs, so he was a really important impact off the bench. 7

He made an active cameo appearance to cheers. 6
