After a week of rest, relaxation and, in some cases, regrouping, the Golden State Warriors are back in action. Tonight, we host the Boston Celtics in a rematch of the 2022 NBA Finals, but both teams look different…and both teams are without their best players.
The full pre-game injury report is below.
outside — Stephen Curry (right patellofemoral pain syndrome)
Curry will miss six consecutive games due to runner’s knee. He was expected to return before the All-Star break, but was sidelined before the All-Star break. This isn’t good news, but the Warriors may be treading more carefully than they would if they were chasing a stronger playoff spot.
outside — Jimmy Butler III (right ACL surgery)
There has been no new news regarding Butler, who underwent surgery earlier this month and is targeting a return around the All-Star break in 2027.
outside — Seth Curry (left sciatic nerve inflammation)
Young Curry is undergoing a gradual two-week re-evaluation. I hope he can be on the court again at some point this year.
i doubt it — Kristaps Porzysis (Management of left Achilles tendon injury)
Porzigis has played in just 17 games this year and hasn’t been on the court since January 7th. He is expected to make his Warriors debut tonight against the team that won the 2024 NBA Finals.
outside — Jayson Tatum (right Achilles tendon repair)
The Celtics only have one player on the injury report, but he’s a player to keep an eye on. Tatum is widely viewed as one of the NBA’s top 10 players, but he hasn’t played since suffering a torn Achilles tendon during the 2025 playoffs. Boston has performed much better than anyone expected with Tatum out, and they hope to get their star player back before the playoffs.
