Curry, Green, Kuminga, Nurkic’s status for Warriors vs. Jazz revealed

Stephen Curry (knee) and Draymond Green (back), who missed Monday’s game against the Timberwolves, will play against the Utah Jazz on Wednesday.

Jonathan Kuminga (knee), Seth Curry (sciatica) and L.J. Cryer (hamstring) are out, but the rest of the Warriors (26-22) who haven’t been out for the season are available.

For the Jazz (15-32), Jusuf Nurkic has been active after being listed as questionable due to illness earlier Wednesday.

Cody Williams (illness), Georges Niang (foot) and Kevin Love (rest) are out. All other Jazz players on standard contracts who haven’t missed a season are available.

Curry ready for big game vs. Jazz

The Jazz’s defensive rating of 123.5 ranks last in the NBA. cleaning the glass. Over the past two weeks, that rating has deteriorated further, rising to 127.5.

Overall, the Jazz are 1-7 in their last eight games, allowing at least 115 points in every game.

Curry has scored more than 31 points just once in his past 14 games. He’s averaging 24.8 points in that stretch on 47.8 percent from the field and 39.2 percent from three, so I wouldn’t call this a slump, but it might be time for him to start putting up 35-plus point games.

He had 31 points in his last two games against the Jazz this season.

Nurkic’s shocking run

Jusuf Nurkic has four career triple-doubles, which is no surprise. What’s shocking is that three of them have played in the last three games.

On Saturday against the Heat, Nurkic became the first player in Jazz history to record three consecutive triple-doubles.

Nurkic missed Tuesday’s game due to illness, but is actively working toward a triple-double against arch-rival Draymond Green.

The Warriors don’t have a player with Nurkic’s size (6’11”) and strength, but Al Horford (6’8”) has been playing his best basketball of the season lately and will likely start and match up with Nurkic.
