Ram Charan was supposed to arrive in theaters with Pedi on his birthday on March 27 this year. However, there were strong reports that the film would be postponed due to production delays, which was expected.

It is now almost confirmed that the Charan-starrer film will not be released in theaters on March 27th, and the producers are already considering another release date.

In this context, recent developments suggest that the makers of this rural action film are setting their sights on a May 1 release date for the film. This is expected to be the best release date for the film, as production will be completed by then and there will be plenty of time for promotion.

However, there are complications here as director Akhil Akkineni has already secured a May 1 release slot for his new film Lenin. The manufacturer has been announcing the release date for quite some time and promotions have also started.

This film is very important for Akhil. Because this is Agent, his pure and honest attempt after a horrible failure. Akhil seems to be very confident and optimistic enough about this film which will play an important role in his career.

Even if Peddi is planning a May 1 release window, there will be a lot of work to be done on Lenin as Akhil will have to sacrifice the desired release window for Charan. Remarkably, Lenin’s team is working towards this date and has already started its promotion, so a postponement would be a very difficult proposition.

Considering the fact that Charan and Akhil are very good friends, there is little chance of both films colliding at the box office on the same day. In the end, it may come down to which production company can convince the other to secure the suddenly high-profile May 1st slot.
