WWE releases statement regarding Eva’s departure

WWE commented on Eva’s departure.

In a statement, the company wished Eva (real name Simone Johnson) the best in her future endeavors and praised her work at the company.

“WWE thanks and commends Simone Garcia-Johnson for her incredible work as Eva and beyond,” they said. “Her passion, dedication and impact resonated throughout the NXT and WWE communities. We wish her all the best in all her future endeavors.”

Early Friday morning, NXT General Manager announced on social media Her contract will not be renewed, and this Tuesday’s show was her last appearance.

“Last Tuesday was my last appearance in NXT and then WWE. Thank you to everyone who has cheered, watched and supported me throughout my journey. The decision not to renew my contract was extremely difficult, but it was also another turning point in my life. It was an honor and privilege to be Eva.”

“I’m really happy to be mayor. Thank you from the bottom of my heart,” she said. added later.

Eva, the daughter of The Rock, attended the WWE Performance Center for the first time in 2020. Two years later, she made her television debut as a member of The Sism. Once the group went their separate ways, Shawn Michaels named her the General Manager of NXT in 2024.
